Featured Crafter of the Month!

Q: How did you decide on your company's name?  Well when I was a little girl visiting my granny every summer in Tennessee I was always so infatuated with her furnishings, a wurlizter radio, woven cane bottom chairs, old rockers, old metal beds, and her enamelware basin and ladle that everyone would take a sip of water out of from the well and all of her crocks that she actually used.. And growing up around these things I have always felt like I was on "A Primitive Journey" to find the next great piece for my collection

Q: Where are you from? (state, Country)
Indiana Usa

Q: What mediums do you use to sell? Retail stores? Consignment craft
stores?
Craft shows? The Internet? Strickly on the internet through my website

Q: What type of products do you offer? Handmade noodle/dough boards, pantry stacks of flour sack towels, thermostat covers, prim lighting, signs, shoofly covers, prairie cakes, so pretty much a wide variety.

Q: How long have you been crafting? And when did you decide to make this
into a business? I started in grade school with Home Ec learning how to sew I was then smitten and been crafting in one form or another every since. I opened my website in 2005

Q: What has been your greatest success? I would have to say having my website opened for 4 years now and being able to survive this economy.

Q: What is your biggest challenge in making this a viable business for you? Getting my name out there and getting recognized

Q: What are your dreams for your for your business? To continue to grow and become more and more recognizable.

Q:  What advice would you give to someone who is just starting out in crafting? I would have to say to stick with what you know and love alot of people are just all over the place try to keep with the ever changing tastes and thats just too hard so do what makes you happy and fulfilled.

Q: If you have anything at you would like to add that was not asked? I'm thrilled to have been asked by Brenda to be a Featured Artist thank you..
